UDD says army attack likely

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva had this morning ordered army commander-in-chief Anupong Paojinda to use force to crack down on red-shirt protesters, co-leader of the United front for Democracy against Dictatorship Jatuporn Prompan said.

“Mr Abhisit told Gen Anupong that he would not dissolve House of Representatives or negotiate with UDD leaders. He wanted the army chief to disperse red-shirts”, Mr Jatuporn said on Saturday afternoon.
