Abhisit Vejjajiva Seeks Peace

WASHINGTON (Politically Illustrated) – Thailand Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva continues to seek a peaceful solution to the ongoing spat between his government and “red shirt” protesters on Sunday after months of avid protests.

“Negotiations must be done to find a solution for most of the country, not just the red shirts, who are just part of society,” said Mr. Abhisit, with his military commander Anupong Paochinda sitting beside him in a public statement, rejecting a call for the dissolution of Parliament.

The red-shirt protesters have occupied Bangkok for more than six weeks disrupting business and impacting the tourism industry in Thailand.
