Uighur, Chechen tourists placed under surveillance

Defence Minister Prawit Wongsuwon ordered surveillance of Uighur and Chechen tourists because, he claimed, they might have entered the country on fake passports or planned to launch terrorist attacks.

Gen Prawit said on Thursday that surveillance had begun earlier because the two visitor groups have been involved in passport forgery.
