CHIANG MAI – A shocking incident of road rage unfolded in Chiang Mai on january 15, when a Toyota pickup driver aggressively pursued an ambulance transporting an emergency patient, endangering both the medical team and the individual in critical care.

The pursuit began after the ambulance, with its sirens activated, overtook the pickup truck while navigating traffic. The driver of thevehicle reportedly became enraged, tailgating the ambulance at high speed, honking repeatedly, and attempting to cut it off at multiple points along the route.
Medical staff inside the ambulance reported feeling threatened and feared for the safety of their patient, whose condition required urgent, uninterrupted transport to the hospital. Despite the driver’s attempts to interfere, the ambulance crew maintained focus and successfully reached the medical facility without physical collision.
The incident was captured on the ambulance’s dash camera and reported to local police, who are now investigating the driver for reckless endangerment, obstruction of emergency medical services, and violating traffic laws. Authorities are working to identify and locate the driver involved.
