Upon arriving at the scene in the Wang Sai subdistrict, officers from Nong Sarai Police Station discovered a body and bloodstains on the floor, but the suspects had already fled. The victim, 27-year-old Nattapong, had sustained a single stab wound to the left side of his chest from a kitchen knife. Despite being rushed to Pak Chong Hospital, he was pronounced dead from his injuries. A five-inch bloodstained kitchen knife was recovered at the scene as key evidence.

Witness accounts provided to the police indicate that the brothers had been drinking heavily before they confronted Nattapong about the small debt. The confrontation turned violent when Nattapong refused to repay the 30 baht, escalating into an argument that concluded with the fatal stabbing.
