Procession Route Announced for Late Queen Mother’s Final Journey to Grand Palace
The Bureau of the Royal Household has announced that the royal procession carrying the remains of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, will commence tomorrow at 4 p.m. This follows the passing of Her Majesty on Friday night at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, where she was 93 years old.

The solemn procession will transport the royal remains from the Bhumisirimangalanusorn Building at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital to the Grand Palace. There, the remains will be enshrined within the Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall to lie in state, where royal merit-making ceremonies will subsequently be held.

The route for the procession will cover approximately 10 kilometers through the capital. It will begin at the hospital, proceeding left onto Henri Dunant Road, then turning right onto Rama IV Road. The procession will continue past the Samyan Intersection, turning right onto Phaya Thai Road and then left at the Phaya Thai Intersection onto Si Ayutthaya Road. The route will then pass the 901 Land Building and the Benchamabophit Dusitvanaram Temple before turning left onto Ratchadamnoen Nok Avenue for the final approach to the Grand Palace.
Queen Sirikit National Convention Center to reopen September 12 after 3-year renovation
Upon arrival at the Grand Palace, the royal procession will enter through the Piman Rattaya Pavilion. The royal remains will then be placed within the Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall, a ceremony conducted in strict accordance with royal tradition to bestow the highest honour upon the late Queen Mother. Authorities have advised the public to avoid the specified roads during the procession to facilitate the solemn event.
