Russian citizen arrested at Suvarnabhumi Airport for indecent behaviour on a pick-up in Phuket
PHUKET – A 23-year-old Russian man has been apprehended by immigration police at Suvarnabhumi Airport in connection with an alleged public indecency incident involving a sexual act in the back of a pickup truck in Phuket. The arrest occurred on September 25 at approximately 3:45 p.m. following an investigation triggered by widely circulated social media footage.

The suspect, identified only as Mr. G., was intercepted by immigration police led by Police Colonel Chai Panakit upon his arrival at the Bangkok airport. The arrest came after Phuket City Police Station investigators identified Mr. G. as the individual appearing in viral images and videos depicting the alleged act. Authorities had tracked his movement from Phuket to the capital.

Phuket police have formally recommended to immigration authorities that Mr. G.’s visa be revoked and that he be blacklisted from re-entering Thailand. This proposal remains under review by immigration officials. While no formal charges have been announced beyond the arrest and recommended visa cancellation, police emphasize that legal proceedings will continue.
