PATTAYA — An American visitor was hospitalized following a violent confrontation with two transgender individuals in central Pattaya early Monday morning, prompting a police investigation into assault and theft allegations.

The victim, identified only as Mr. S., reported to Pattaya City Police that he was approached by two transgender women near Soi 6/1 around 4:26 AM. According to his statement, the pair offered companionship services before allegedly stealing 3,000 baht from his pocket. When he confronted them, one assailant struck him in the head with a rock, leaving him bleeding profusely. A bystander helped him reach authorities.

Police Response

Officers are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify the suspects. “We take crimes against tourists seriously and will pursue all legal avenues,” said Pol. Lt. Col. Somchai Boonmee, case investigator. Medical staff at a local hospital confirmed Mr. S. sustained a head laceration but is in stable condition.
