Authorities identified the suspect only as Mr. G., who was caught assisting tourists aboard a speedboat bound for Naka Yai, Naka Noi, and Rang islands – all without the legally required Thai tour guide license.

“Foreigners cannot steal jobs from licensed Thai guides,” warned Phuket Tourist Police Chief Col. Narong Chanakul. “We’re expanding inspections to all piers and tour operators.”
