South Korean DJ Arrested for Working Illegally in Chiang Mai Entertainment Venue

CHIANG MAI – Chiang Mai immigration authorities have apprehended a South Korean national for performing as a DJ without a valid work permit in a local entertainment establishment. The arrest occurred on the evening of November 19th in the Suthep subdistrict, following a targeted operation by the Chiang Mai Immigration Investigation and Suppression Unit.

The suspect was found working under a temporary 90-day stay permit, which does not authorize employment. He admitted to performing DJ services at local venues without obtaining the required work authorization from Thai authorities. Following his arrest, the individual was transferred to Phuping Police Station for legal processing.
