PATTAYA – A condominium fire in South Pattaya prompted the mass evacuation of residents on the evening of November 9, 2025. The blaze erupted on the seventh floor of Building B in Soi Kho Phai 4, sending thick smoke through the corridors and leading to multiple cases of minor smoke inhalation, though no serious injuries were reported.

The fire began around 5:30 PM in room 707 and rapidly consumed the unit’s interior. Firefighters battled the flames for approximately forty minutes before gaining control, after which they used specialized equipment to clear the smoke-filled building. The incident caused significant alarm, with both Thai and foreign residents described fleeing down stairwells as emergency alarms sounded.

The unit’s occupant, 26-year-old Pornsiri, reported that she and her boyfriend detected a burning smell moments before noticing flames erupting from an electrical socket. The fire quickly spread to their mattress and engulfed the room, forcing them to escape without salvaging any personal belongings.
Fire Breaks Out at Pattaya Condo, No Injuries Reported
Preliminary investigations by Pattaya’s municipal fire department and police point to an electrical short circuit as the likely cause, with inspectors now examining the damaged socket and the building’s broader electrical system.
