Fire Kills Seven, Including Three Children, in Rayong Townhouse
RAYONG – A devastating fire tore through a residential townhouse in the Muang district of Rayong in the early hours of Thursday, claiming the lives of seven members of a single family, including three young children. The blaze erupted around 2:30 a.m., engulfing the home of origin and causing damage to three neighboring residences.

Muang Rayong District Chief Anusorn Saengkla confirmed the tragic loss of life, stating that all seven victims were Thai nationals who became trapped on the second floor of the building. The fatalities included four adults ranging in age from 29 to 57 years old and three children, all between one and two years old. Three other individuals sustained injuries from smoke inhalation and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Firefighters managed to bring the flames under control within thirty minutes of arriving at the scene. Preliminary investigations by officials point to an electrical short circuit as the likely cause of the fire. It is believed the family was asleep when the fire started and perished while attempting to escape down the stairs. Forensics police are conducting a detailed examination of the site to determine the exact cause of the tragedy.
