British Teen Vanishes in Thai-Myanmar Border
PATTAYA – A massive search is underway for a 19-year-old British national, Lawrence Stallard Honour, who mysteriously disappeared from Pattaya on September 26. The case has taken a serious turn with increasing suspicions that the teenager may have been lured to work for a criminal call center gang operating near the Myanmar border.

The disappearance prompted Honour’s mother to file an official missing person report with the Pattaya City Police. The search traced his movements to a resort in Ban Dan Chedi Sam Ong on September 27, where surveillance footage captured him charging his phone before departing. Authorities confirmed that Honour subsequently made his way to the border area in Kanchanaburi province, specifically the Three Pagodas Pass.
There, according to an immigration officer, the teenager attempted to cross illegally into Myanmar. He was initially stopped by officers for lacking proper documentation but managed to slip away from authorities. The officer reported that Honour was constantly on his phone and even attempted to crawl through a border fence.

The incident has raised significant alarm among Kanchanaburi officials, with the provincial governor ordering a thorough investigation. Honour’s mother described her son as a quiet but intelligent individual with considerable computer skills, a profile that makes him a potential target for criminal syndicates operating scam call centers. In a further twist, reports indicate that Honour hitchhiked to the Sangkhlaburi district, assisted by a teacher who is now also under investigation by police.
