Train Derails in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Leaving Multiple Injured
PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN – A Bangkok-bound train derailed early Saturday morning in Kui Buri district, leaving several passengers injured and sparking a major emergency response, The Nation reported.

The incident occurred around 5 a.m. near Kui Buri railway station, involving Train No. 38 traveling from Sungai Kolok to Krung Thep Aphiwat. Three carriages—Nos. 1050, 1119, and 1113—veered off the tracks, causing chaos among passengers.
Rescue teams and local authorities rushed to the scene, where initial assessments confirmed multiple injuries, though the exact number remains unclear. As of now, responders have only been able to access Carriage No. 1050, with efforts still underway to reach the other two derailed cars, where more passengers may be trapped.

The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) stated that injured passengers are being transported to nearby hospitals, while unaffected carriages have been reassembled to continue the journey to Bangkok. Road transfers have been arranged for affected travelers.
The cause of the derailment remains under investigation, with specialists examining the site for possible track or mechanical failures.
