Lifeguards Warn About Poisonous Jellyfish at Phuket Beaches

Lifeguards on Karon Beach in Mueang Phuket and Bangtao Beach in Cherng Talay, Thalang reported this morning that they found many of the Portuguese man-of-war jellyfish during this recent monsoon season.

Many Foreign Swimmers in Phuket Injured From Jellyfish

If a swimmer has been stung, seawater and vinegar, if available, can be used to wash the affected skin and remove its tentacles. After that, one should use some hot water to cover the affected area for 20 minutes to relieve the pain.
