Nok Air aircraft skids off runway in Chiang Rai, all flights cancelled on Sunday

Nok Air has suspended all flights today (Sunday) between Bangkok and Chiang Rai province after one of its planes skidded off the runway at Mae Fah Luang-Chiang Rai international airport on Saturday night.

After the incident, the airport has closed the runway from 6am until 10pm today.

The airline said, in a statement issued late last night, that the Boeing 737-800 operating flight DD108 left Bangkok’s Don Muaeng airport at 8.03pm with 164 passengers and six crew on board.
