Thailand makes final preparations for Monday’s mass vaccination project

THAILAND (NNT) – Provincial authorities and related agencies are now making final preparations at vaccination centers, ahead of the June 7th national vaccination drive being launched on Monday.

Thammasat University yesterday held the opening ceremony of its Rangsit campus vaccination center. The ceremony was presided over by the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, Anek Laothamatas.

This vaccination center is situated inside the campus’ gymnasium 4 building. Starting this Monday, it will provide COVID-19 jabs to senior citizens and people with certain chronic conditions, namely severe and chronic respiratory diseases, cardiovascular diseases, chronic kidney failure, cerebrovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes, and obesity. The center will then offer the jabs to other people after these two priority groups.
