NAN, 21 December 2017 (NNT) – Cold weathers in areas across the country including Bangkok have resulted in phenomena such as thick fog over bodies of water in Khon Kaen province and have necessitated students in provinces such as Nan to engage in exercise to stay warm.

Temperatures in Nan have dropped to as low as 9 degrees Celsius with mountain tops and national park areas reporting readings of between 4-8 degrees. Schools in the province have had to add a morning exercise session to help students stay warm. Medical authorities have urged citizens to be mindful of their health at this time and to wear warm clothing to protect against respiratory diseases.
