Bhumjaithai party seeks support from opposition parties for censure of PM

The Bhumjaithai party is seeking support from other opposition parties for its motion to seek a no-confidence debate against Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, over the content of the leaked conversation between her and Cambodian Senate Speaker Hen Sen.

The party’s spokesperson, Nan Boonthida Somchai, said today that the Palang Pracharath party agrees with the censure motion, as it shares the concern that the prime minister’s conduct was a threat to the nation’s security and prestige.

Meanwhile, 15 pro-democracy organisations have urged the prime minister to “take responsibility” over what she is heard saying in the leaked conversation with Hun Sen.
