Foreign Women Arrested for Alleged Prostitution on Soi Nana
Bangkok police arrested fifteen women of four different nationalities during a late-night raid in the Sukhumvit area on charges of alleged prostitution. The operation, conducted around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, targeted illegal activities, including prostitution and human trafficking, on Sukhumvit Soi 4, commonly known as Soi Nana.

Authorities from Lumpini Police Station, Immigration Division 1, and Metropolitan Police Division 5 carried out the crackdown, detaining nine Vietnamese nationals, four Tanzanians, one Kenyan, and one Thai woman. Pol Maj Gen Witthawat Shinkham, chief of Metropolitan Police Division 5, stated that the suspects were initially charged with causing a public nuisance.

After being informed of their legal rights, the women were taken to Lumpini Police Station for further legal proceedings. Soi Nana, known for its vibrant nightlife with numerous bars and eateries, has long been a hotspot for tourists and locals alike.
