Surat Thani, April 4, 2025 – At least 10 foreign tourists were injured Friday after a tour bus traveling from Krabi overturned on a highway in southern Thailand, rescue officials reported.

The accident occurred around noon on Highway No. 44 (Krabi-Surat Thani route) in Bang Sawan subdistrict, Phrasaeng district. According to the Kusol Sattha Rescue Foundation, the driver—whose identity has not been disclosed—lost control of the vehicle, causing it to flip and crash into a road median.
The bus, registered in Bangkok, was carrying 40 foreign passengers and three staff members at the time of the incident. Seven tourists sustained minor injuries, while three others required hospitalization for further treatment. Authorities have not yet released the nationalities or identities of those injured.

Local emergency teams responded swiftly, transporting the injured to nearby medical facilities. Police are investigating the cause of the crash, with initial reports suggesting possible driver error or mechanical failure.
