The altercation began when a group of men surrounded and assaulted Mr. Dio, the 46-year-old president of the association. According to witnesses, the attack seemed premeditated, as one of the assailants had been seen taking photos and videos earlier in the day. Several others, including Thai social media influencer Chanita and another woman, were caught in the chaos and sustained injuries while trying to intervene. Both women were punched multiple times, leaving them bruised and in need of medical attention.

Local authorities are investigating the case using CCTV footage from the area. Reports indicate that none of the suspects showed up for scheduled questioning, prompting calls for stricter legal action against those involved. The motive behind the assault remains unclear, but the incident has raised concerns about public safety during large cultural events in Pattaya.
