Chinese Man Arrested at Chatuchak Market in Bangkok With 96 Fake Banknotes

Bangkok – A Chinese man was arrested at the Chatuchak Market after attempting to purchase eyeglasses with a counterfeit 1,000 Baht banknote. The incident took place on Sunday, October 27th, when the owner of an eyeglass shop reported the matter to the Bangsue Police.

Ex-Chinese Bank Manager Arrested in Pattaya for 200 Million Baht Fraud

The shop owner informed the police that a Chinese man had bought 200 Baht eyeglasses using a fake 1,000 Baht note. Responding promptly, relevant police arrived at the scene and confirmed that the banknote was indeed counterfeit. The suspect, identified only as Mr. Su, a 45-year-old Chinese national, was arrested at the shop.
