The “Hint” health insurance system for non-Thais, devised by Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health, will come into operation on January 1, 2024, and will allow non-Thai foreigners to access health coverage.
Insurance mandatory for long-stay foreigners
The “Hint” system offers fast registration, with a processing time of only five minutes, far superior to the previous system. It also allows non-Thais who do not possess identification documents to register for treatment and coverage.
