Chinese man self-harms in Pattaya, prompting emergency response
At 8:30 PM, on December 29th, 2023, Pattaya Rescue Radio Center received a report of a Chinese person committing self-harm at a luxury village in Soi Khao Talo, Bang Lamung, Chonburi.
Nong Prue police and Pattaya volunteer rescue teams were dispatched to the incident scene and found a 25-year-old Chinese man, whose name was withheld as is editorial policy during these types of incidents, using a sharp object to harm himself, causing deep wounds to his neck. The officers and his friends tried to persuade him to calm down, however, the Chinese man resisted dropping the sharp object and going to a hospital.
