Wat Khao Khitchakut – Buddha Footprint, Chanthaburi

Wat Khao Khitchakut (วัด เขาคิชฌกูฏ) is a very unusual temple located within Khao Khitchakut National Park boundaries in Chanthaburi Province.
This temple sits on the Khao Phra Bat mountaintop, the site of a Buddha footprint. Khao Phra Bat, the highest peak at 1,085 meters is characterized by three large round rocks on its ridge.
The landscape has waterfalls and forests. It is also a place where a Buddha footprint is venerated.1

Wat Khao Khitchakut only open 2 months a year, during the time around the Magha Puja holiday usually in February or March, when a large number of devotees make their pilgrimage to this temple.
Khao Khitchakut National Park is also home to beautiful waterfalls and forests.
