Kuang-Im Chapel on The River Kwai, Kanchanaburi

The Kuang-Im Chapel is a new and unfinished Chinese-style Buddhist temple located on the banks of The River Kwai, very close to The Bridge on the River Kwai in Kanchanaburi, Thailand.

This colorful temple hosts a huge Chinese Goddess of Mercy statue and several bronze statues and marble dragon sculptures within its gardens.

If you’re visiting the Death Railway and its famous bridge, Kuang-Im Chapel it’s worth a visit.

Other fascinating temples to visit in Kanchanaburi are Wat Tham Suea and Wat Tham Khao Noi located within the province.
