Elephant Building (Chang Building), Bangkok

The Elephant Building (ตึกช้าง) or Chang Building is a unconventional skyscraper located on the intersection between Paholyothin Road and Ratchadaphisek Road in Bangkok. It is situated in the north of the city, in the business district of Chatuchak which is very popular for the Weekend Market.

Also called The Elephant Tower, is one of the most famous of Bangkok, as it has the characteristics of an elephant. The building was completed in 1997 and has 32 floors and is 102 meters high. The Elephant Building consists of 7 parts:

– Tower A, offices
– Tower B, offices
– Tower C, residential
– The upper floor has luxury residential suites
– Playground with pool and gardens
– Shopping plaza, bank and post office
– Parking area

The building was designed in a collaboration between Dr. Arun Chaisaree and the architect Ong-ard Satrabhandhu (Ong-at Sattraphan).
