Seven Rohingyas arrested in Thung Song linked to Muhammad’s human trafficking gang

Police have traced the seven Rohingya illegal immigrants arrested at Thung Song railway station in Nakhon Si Thammarat province last month to a human trafficking gang allegedly led by a man named “Muhammad” in Pathum Thani province.

The seven Rohingyas–five men and two women–were smuggled across the Thai-Myanmar border into Kanchanaburi province, then to Nakhon Pathom where they were escorted on a south-bound train by a railway police officer, identified as Pol Sub-Lt Chuan Soonkhum, to Hat Yai district of Songkhla province.
