Bangkok’s air pollution exceeds standard level: PCD

BANGKOK, 24 January 2018 (NNT) – The uncirculated air mass in Bangkok has caused airborne particulate matter to exceed the standard level, mostly due to air pollution in the roads.

Pollution Control Department (PCD) Director-General Sunee Piyapanpong said Bangkok’s uncirculated air mass and near-surface atmosphere have caused the accumulated air pollution and the airborne particulate matter (PM2.5) to exceed the standard level at more than 50 micrograms per cubic meter of air.
