Queen recovers, returning to Chitralada

BANGKOK, 30 November 2016 (NNT) – Her Majesty Queen Sirikit has returned to Chitralada Villa for recuperation after almost two weeks in Chulalongkorn Hospital to treat lung inflammation.

The Bureau of the Royal Household said in a statement that the condition of Her Majesty the Queen, now 84, has improved substantially. The statement cited the royal doctors as saying Her Majesty no longer had fever and was able to walk and eat well, though with slight coughing. Results of X-ray and blood examination showed the lung inflammation had been mostly treated.
