India Slaps Five-Year Ban On Fiery Islamic Preacher for Hate Speeches

After being barred from entering the UK and Canada, self-styled Islamic evangelist Zakir Naik has also been banned in his home country. Winner of the Saudi King Faizal International Prize, Naik’s speeches are alleged to have motivated the Dhaka Café attackers.

New Delhi (Sputnik) — The Indian Government has put a five-year ban on controversial Islamic preacher and televangelist Zakir Naik and his foundation Islamic Research Foundation (IRF) with immediate effect.
