 HM the Queen sends aid to flood victims in Phetchaburi

PHETCHABURI, 7 November 2016 (NNT) – In her capacity as President of the Thai Red Cross Society, Her Majesty Queen Sirikit has sent her representative to Phetchaburi province to distribute relief packages to people affected by flooding.

With grave concerns over the flood situation in Ban Laem district, Phetchaburi province, Her Majesty the Queen assigned Mr Phan Wannamethee, Secretary-General of the Thai Red Cross Society, to deputize for her in providing assistance for the flood-affected residents. On his visit to the district, Mr Phan led the handing out of one thousand royal relief packages which contained items necessary for survival, such as medicine, rice and drinking water.
