BANGKOK, 10 October 2016 (NNT) – The government has warned seven provinces in the Central Plains to brace for possible flooding, as the water levels in the Chao Phraya River are expected to increase by 25 – 75 centimeters.
Government Spokesperson and acting Director-General of the Public Relations Department Lieutenant General Sansern Kaewkamnerd said flood warnings were relayed to the governors of Chai Nat, Uthai Thani, Ang Thong, Singburi, Suphanburi, Lopburi and Ayutthaya. They were told that more water will be soon released from the Chao Phraya Dam, and to therefore ready supplies and provide flood relief for those affected.
