Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on Tuesday encouraged Thais to wear traditional costumes, adding “it does not need to be very expensive”.

Prayut also jokingly said that those who didn’t have money to buy the costumes could seek his help, to cheers from the crowd.
