First boat service to begin on Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem Canal in Sept

BANGKOK, 29 August 2016 (NNT) – A boat service is set to begin on Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem Canal in September to help relieve traffic congestion in Bangkok and to promote local tourism.

Prime Minister’s Office Spokesman Major General Sansern Kaewkumnerd revealed that the new boat service, which will kick off next month, will run five kilometers from Hua Lamphong to Thewet Pier in response to Prime Minster Prayut Chan-o-cha’s wish to lessen Bangkok’s traffic jams.
