Indonesia Executes Four People Accused of Drug Trafficking

Four people accused of drug trafficking were executed in Indonesia on Friday, with the decision on the fate of another 10 still pending, local media reported.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The four drug traffickers were executed by firing squad, The Jakarta Post said.

Among those executed were one Indonesian and three Nigerian nationals. The executions are said to be taking place on the Nusa Kambangan prison island.

In 2015, Indonesia carried out 14 executions of people convicted of drug-related crimes.
