Buddhists across the country engage in merit making activities on the occasion of Asanha Bucha Day

THAILAND, 19 July 2016 (NNT) – Buddhists across the country are engaging in merit making activities on the occasion of Asanha Bucha Day, while also providing candle offerings to temples for Buddhist Lent.

In Surin Province, residents, officials and tourists gathered at the plaza of Phraya Surin Phakdi Si Narong Changwang Monument to give alms to 90 Buddhist monks who had arrived on the backs of elephants to receive to receive food offerings as part of the province’s tradition.
