Newin furious over ‘Buriram Utd fans’ gone missing in Korea

BURIRAM United president Newin Chidchob expressed anger yesterday after finding that several dozen Thais who said they were fans of the club went missing soon after arriving in South Korea for a match against FC Seoul on Wednesday.

Newin denounced the “shameful act” after Buriram – Thai league champions – lost Wednesday’s fixture 2-1 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, their fifth straight defeat in the Asian Football Confederation’s Champions League group matches.
