‘Bomb threat’ halts Bangkok Airways flight

The captain of a Bangkok Airways flight bound for Phuket aborted the take-off from Suvarnabhumi Airport on Sunday afternoon after four Thai passengers were reported to have had a “conversation” that triggered a bomb-threat emergency response.

The conversation was reported to the airport’s Security Control Centre (SCC) which triggered the emergency response. Flight PG 924 was scheduled to depart Suvarnabhumi airport for the southern tourist island at 12.30pm.
