Five days of New Year holidays caused 2,753 accidents, 292 fatalities

BANGKOK, 3 January 2015 (NNT) – The center for road accident prevention and reduction of New Year holidays has urged agencies to inspect drivers more frequently, to prevent road accidents.

The center for road accident prevention and reduction run by the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) has revealed that the number of accidents during 29 December 2015 – 2 January 2016 was recorded at 2,753 cases, with 292 fatalities and 2,855 injuries.
