Nation pays tribute to King Rama VII on Constitution Day

Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha this morning led cabinet ministers to lay floral wreath in memory of the late King Rama VII at his statue in front of parliament building as the country commemorated the Constitution Day.

December 10 is a public holiday. It is the day when King Rama VII voluntarily bestowed the first constitution to the country in 1932, turning the country’s rein from absolute monarchy to constitutional monarchy.
