23-years-old Irishman arrested in Chiang Mai on drugs charge faces up to 50 years in jail

A 23-year-old Irishman is facing up to 50 years in a Thai prison after he allegedly tried to sell marijuana to officers from the Crime Suppression Division.

The Irishman was arrested in a sting operation in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand early last week.

If found guilty, he faces a maximum sentence of 50 years in a Thai jail.
