Large number of metal cooking gas tanks in Deep South changed to composite type

BANGKOK, 16 September 2015 (NNT) – A large number of metal cooking gas tanks in the three southern border provinces have so far been replaced with the type made from composite materials in an effort to curb the use of cooking gas tanks in making improvised explosive devices.

Lieutenant General Prakan Chonlayuth, the 4th Army Area commanding-general, on Tuesday met with representatives of PTT Plc. gas suppliers in the southern border provinces to follow up on the progress of the gas tanks swap initiative.
