 Pattaya begins re-branding campaign into a ‘family friendly and sports oriented’ city

We all know tourism numbers are down in Pattaya. We also know the mayor is on a campaign to rebrand Pattaya as a tourist destination that is family friendly and sports oriented.

There are a number of green initiatives underway, such as the tunnel under Sukhumvit and Phratamnak Hill being relandscaped to be an eco friendly tourist area. The next step for Pattaya is attempting to attract Thai visitors.

With Russian and European drops of 30-50% and Thais regularly overlooking Pattaya because of price, the hotels have come up with a plan to entice Thai’s to visit Pattaya during the slow season.
