Hunt for six Turkish illegal immigrants who escaped from immigration detention

Police and Map Ta Pud residents have been hunting for six Turkish illegal immigrants who escaped from a detention cell of the immigration police in Map Ta Pud since Saturday night.

The six escapees and a sixth who was arrested by the police were sent from Phang-nga province to the detention centre of the immigration police at Map Ta Pud, Rayong province, pending court trial on charges of illegal entry.
