MUKDAHAN, 10 April 2014 (NNT) – More than 3 million baht’s worth of illicit drugs have been seized in Mukdahan Province. Two smugglers were arrested.

Mukdahan police set up checkpoints throughout the province after an intelligence report that there was going to be a drug smuggling operation. The police searched two middle-aged men identified as Laotian citizens who were traveling on a public bus with two backpacks and found more than 15,000 pills of methamphetamine and one kilogram of crystal meth, which is widely known as “ya ice”.
