Six people were killed and four others injured early on Sunday morning when a pick-up truck carrying illegal Cambodian workers attempted to break through a police checkpoint in Sri Racha and crashed into a concrete bridge pillar.

Witnesses reported seeing the truck speeding towards Pattaya with a police car in pursuit. They heard a screech of tyres as the truck lost control and collided with the pillar.
