Elephant dies after it was hit by a car in Rayong

A wild elephant which was seriously injured after it was hit by car while attempting to cross a road in Wang Chan district of Rayong before dawn today (Wednesday) has succumbed to its death this afternoon.

The accident took place at about 5 a.m. on the Ban Bung-Klaeng road when a Mitsubishi Pajero SUV struck the elephant.
