Magnitude 2.6 earthquake reported in Lampang

LAMPANG, 21 February 2014 (NNT) – A small earthquake with a magnitude of 2.6 on the Richter scale was reported in Lampang province early Friday morning.

The provincial Mineral Resources office said the tremor recorded at midnight on Friday in Wang Nua district occurred on the Phayao fault line straddling Phayao and Lampang.

There were no reports of damage, and none of the residents have reported the tremor so far.
